The product

What do I need to get started?

A link. Paste your website and best-in-slot does its homework — what you sell, who it's for, how your brand looks and sounds, and the themes your feed can come back to. No brief, no forms, no questionnaire. You review and edit everything it learned before anything is saved, and that one setup is what writes both your ads and your Instagram posts.

What does one click actually produce?

A finished ad: a concept, a hero image, that image re-framed for all four Meta formats (square, portrait, story, and wide), plus 5 primary texts, 5 headlines, and a description. It costs 10 credits.

Can I steer what it makes?

Yes. Step-by-step mode lets you pick the audience, the angle, one of three concepts, and the visual style the image is drawn in; generate as many images as you want and pick between them; and review every line of copy before it goes anywhere.

What do the images look like?

Whatever style you pick. There are 66 to choose from, grouped into polished brand-photography looks, sales-sheet graphics built around one stat or comparison, native feed-style shots that read like a person posted them, and wildcards like memes and warning-label parodies. Pick one, or let it choose for you. Each image costs 3 credits, so trying a second style is cheap. If you upload your logo, it's handed to the image model as a real reference — so the mark in your ad is your actual logo, not an invented one.

Instagram posts

What's in a generated Instagram post?

The picture, the caption and the hashtags, made together rather than bolted to each other — the caption is written by a model looking at the image that came back, so the words describe the picture you actually got. You can make a single image, a multi-slide carousel, or a 9:16 story. A story carries no caption, because Instagram's API has nowhere to put one; its words are drawn into the frame instead. A single post or a carousel costs 10 credits, a story 7.

How do I connect my Instagram account?

Through Facebook, once, per brand. You'll need an Instagram professional account — Business or Creator, both free to switch to in the Instagram app — linked to a Facebook Page you manage. You pick the Page, and best-in-slot reads the Instagram account behind it with your own login. You can generate posts before connecting anything; the connection is only needed to publish.

How does scheduling work?

Make a post, pick a day and a time in your own timezone, and it waits in the queue until then. You can edit it, reschedule it, or pull it back to a draft any time before it goes. Scheduling is on Starter, Growth and Agency; on Free and Lite you publish posts yourself with a button.

What does autopilot actually do?

Both halves: it makes the posts and it publishes them. You set the days, the times, your timezone, the mix of singles, carousels and stories, and which of your themes and products get their turn. Then, ahead of each slot — 24 hours by default — it picks what that post should be, draws the image, writes the caption and hashtags, and spends the credits. At the slot it publishes to your profile. You choose whether it goes out on its own or waits in Needs review for your yes.

What control do I have over scheduled posts?

All of it, right up until it publishes. Approve, edit or reject anything waiting; reject one and the planner learns to avoid that. Pause the whole schedule from one button, or cap how many unreviewed posts can pile up while you're away so a week off can't drain your credits. Slots that pass during an outage are skipped rather than posted late, and if your credits run out the schedule pauses and emails you. After a post is live it's live — Instagram has no delete for published media, so you'd remove it there.

Which plans include scheduling and autopilot?

Posting to Instagram by hand is on every plan, including Free — it costs credits, not a tier. Scheduling is on Starter, Growth and Agency. The autopilot is on Growth and Agency.

Can I turn an ad into an Instagram post?

Yes, for 1 credit. The ad's creative is already rendered at every shape Instagram takes, so nothing is drawn again — the picture carries over and the copy is rewritten for a feed, where you're talking to followers rather than interrupting strangers. From there it behaves like any other post: publish it, schedule it, or add a story pointing at it.

Publishing to Meta

Do ads go live automatically?

No. Every ad best-in-slot creates lands in your ad set paused, with a direct link to it in Ads Manager. You review it there and flip it live when you're ready — not a dollar moves until you say so. (Instagram posts are the other way round: those you can hand to the autopilot to publish for you.)

What exactly does it create in my Meta account?

One ad, inside an ad set you pick — with all four image formats and every copy variation packed in, each routed to the placements it's shaped for: stories and reels get the tall one, feeds get square and portrait, right-column gets the wide one. It never creates campaigns or ad sets, and never touches your other ads.

Where do the CTA button and destination link come from?

If your ad set already has an ad, the new one inherits its Facebook page, Instagram account, destination URL, and CTA automatically — so it sits next to your existing ads like it belongs there. Publishing into an empty ad set? You pick the page and set the destination and CTA yourself.

Do I need to connect Meta to use best-in-slot?

No. You can generate ads without connecting anything. Connect Meta once — a standard Facebook login — when you want an ad published straight into your campaign.

Credits & billing

Do credits expire?

The 50 free signup credits and any top-up credits never expire. Plan credits reset at each billing cycle and don't roll over. Free signup credits and top-ups never expire — and spending always uses plan credits first.

What does each action cost?

One-click ad: 10 credits. Ad image: 3 credits. The four Meta sizes: 6 credits. Redo an image: 3 credits. Ad copy: 2 credits. Concepts: 1 credit. Instagram post: 10 credits. Instagram carousel: 10 credits. Instagram story: 7 credits. Story teaser: free. Redo a post image: 3 credits. Rewrite a caption: 2 credits. Turn an ad into a post: 1 credit. Building an ad step by step costs 12 credits in total. If a generation fails, the credits come straight back. See full pricing

How does billing work?

Monthly plans from $19–$169, plus $10 top-up packs of 50 credits whenever you need extras. You can move up or down a plan at any time. Checkout and card handling run through Dodo Payments, and a self-serve portal covers invoices and cancellation.

How many brands can I run?

A brand is one business with its own logo, colours, products and audiences. Lite includes 1 brand, Starter includes 1 brand, Growth includes 5 brands, Agency includes 10 brands. The free tier includes one. Moving up a plan raises the limit straight away, and dropping down never removes brands you have already made — you just can't add new ones past the new limit.

What happens if I cancel?

Your plan credits are good through the end of the period you paid for. Free signup credits and top-ups keep working — and everything you already generated stays yours.
